News

Remember that my flickr page gets updated more often than this site now, althoug it only contains the best few photos from each set. Generally 20 photos/set will appear here, but only 2-3 on flickr.

Remember that flickr allows comments too, which I always like, both positive and 'constructive' criticism.

Queen Victoria Naming and Maiden Voyage

11th December 2007

I took a sightseeing boat out to see the new Queen Victoria, shortly before she sailed on her maiden voyage. I also saw Aurora. I'm really pleased with these shots, especially the Aurora one.

Charoleau Gap by Jeep

25th Aug 2007

A superb trip with some great photos, although there was a jeeping disaster as Dan broke his entire rear suspension and had to be dragged the last 10 miles out.

Guns guns guns.

1st Sept 2007

Chris took me out shooting with his vast array of guns. There were 13 in all, from ak-47s to bolt action rifles, pistols, revolvers and a very scary semi automatic shotgun.

Goodwood festival of speed
Saturday

23rd June 2007

This set is from the saturday at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It's quite a large set and there's a few shots I'm really proud of. I was there for 3 days, on the friday I shot only film, so those photos may appear later.

Sunday

24th June 2007

Sunday was a lot wetter and my photos were a lot less inspiring too, so a shorter set.

Marwell Zoo challenge.

21st April 2007

Another challenge, this time at Marwell Zoo. I got some great shots, not least of the Snow Leopard who was right against the glass giving me opportunities to take shots with my macro lens. If anyone wants a desktop version of these, let me know as the quality is awesome, even when pixel peeping.

My first attempt at proper photoshop and curves.

Beaulieu 2 hour challenge.

11th March 2007

Another Hursley Photography Club 2 hour challenge. This one took place around the Beaulieu area and contains quite a lot of variety.

Winchester 2 hour challenge.

4th Feb 2007

The first of a series of challenges with the Hursley Photography Club. This took place around Winchester and I decided to taket the opportunity to use my film camera. I was very disappointed with the grainyness of the results though.

Bunny Lane 4x4 Play Day with ShireLRC

19th Nov 2006

This is a little embarrassing. These photos have been on the web for ages, but never linked to. They're from when Leeannes friends took us offroading in their Range Rover. We had a superb time, and if we had the room, we'd get a little suzuki to play around with.
